Top NBA Draft Landing Spots For Jeremiah Fears

    San Antonio Spurs

More than a decade after being removed from its last NBA title, San Antonio is rebuilding around Victor Wembanyama, De’Aaron Fox, and Stephon Castle. Chris Paul could return, but he could also retire or move on to a championship contender. Even with Blake Wesley contending for minutes, the 6-foot-4, 182-pound Fears would have a reasonable opportunity at early playing time here.

    Brooklyn Nets

The Nets are going to miss the NBA playoffs for the second straight season. They have Cam Thomas, the team’s leading scorer, entrenched as the starting shooting guard, but Fears could easily earn minutes as part of this rebuild/reimagination under coach Jordi Fernandez.

    Miami Heat

After trading disgruntled Jimmy Butler in February, the Heat went into a freefall, losing 17 of 21 games. This will go down as one of the worst seasons of long-time coach Erik Spoelstra’s tenure. But Tyler Herro continues to emerge in the backcourt, earning his first All-Star selection this year. Fears is an attractive option as a running mate on the perimeter.

    Chicago Bulls

The Joliet, Il. Native would be proper at home at the United Center. With Zach LaVine recently traded to the Sacramento Kings, Josh Giddey, Kevin Huerter, and Ayo Dosunmu have seen most of the minutes at the two. Some more moves are to be expected in the offseason for a Chicago squad currently sitting in the second play-in slot. Fears could be part of that offseason makeover.

    Memphis Grizzlies

In Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Desmond Bane, the Grizzlies have a talented, youthful trio to build on as the franchise, currently sixth in the West, endeavors to get entrenched annually in that conference’s top tier. But the Grizzlies could use some support for Bane at the shooting guard position.

Fears are more minor, but his combination of speed, shot creation, and ability to shake defenders would serve as a nice complement to Morant while spelling Bane.
