Jalen Celestine is on the move for the second time in 2 years. Where is his next stop?
Baylor has lost six players to this year’s transfer portal. Celestine joins Jason Asemota, Omar Adegbola, Kaleb Jackson, Yanis Ndjonga, and Langston Love, who has committed to Georgetown.
Jalen Celestine entered the transfer portal after just one year at Baylor. He had initially spent three years at the University of California. Celestine started out his Baylor career as a bench option, but a couple of injuries gave him an opportunity to shine, and his importance to the team grew as the season progressed.

5 Potential Landing Spots for Jalen Celestine
Celestine averaged 7.1 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in his sole season with the Bears. What are the options available for the 6’7 Canadian?
Indiana Hoosiers
The Hoosiers are in the process of rebuilding the entire program as Head Coach Darian Devries met an empty locker room. Indiana had lost his entire roster to the transfer portal. Celestine has a lot of college basketball experience, and his abilities could be helpful as Devries rebuilds the program.
Ole Miss Rebels
Ole Miss will be looking to improve on its Sweet 16 finish this year, but head coach Chris Beard already has his work cut out. He started four seniors in their matchup against Michigan State. He would need to enter the portal to replace his existing stars, and Celestine is an excellent guard.
St. John’s Red Storm
Rick Pitino lost four guards at the end of the 24/25 season, and he has to replace them. St. John’s is a guard-heavy squad, and Celestine is one of the most solid guards in the portal. His experience will be useful for Pitino, as he could be a very good bench option for him.
Florida State Seminoles
Florida State lost some players to the transfer portal following a coaching change. Luke Loucks will be looking to imprint his mark on the team, and he will be looking to the portal to add talents and depth to the squad.

Virginia just had a coaching change, too, and it has been reported that the new head coach, Ryan Odom, is highly interested in recruiting guards. Celestine could be an option for him.
