St. John’s Red Storm freshman guard Jaiden Glover has entered the transfer portal and will look for a new home for the 2025-26 season. The former four-star recruit averaged just 2.2 points in 22 appearances and had his season cut short after tearing tendons in his wrist in late February.
With his name in the portal, which schools should contact the talented young guard?

Kansas Jayhawks
The Jayhawks are losing both of their starting guards, as point guard Dajuan Harris Jr. and Zeke Mayo are both set to graduate. That leaves a major void at either guard position that the 6’4″, 205-pound Glover could fill right away.
He’d likely be best suited for a bench role as he failed to get much experience in his lone season with the Red Storm — but Kansas has a need for that as well, as players previously with the program are expected to fill the starting roles.
The one concern is that fellow transfer guard A.J. Storr didn’t receive as much playing time as promised and had a disappointing season, thus entering the portal once again following the season. But Glover projects as a different type of player and could have a path to success with the Jayhawks if he stays with the program for multiple years.
LSU Tigers
The Tigers offered Glover relatively early in the recruiting process, making them an immediate option due to his prior relationship with the coaching staff. LSU finished last season with a 14-18 record in the rugged SEC and is enduring the graduation of both starting guards.
Once again, Glover would be best in a bench role to begin with and the potential to develop into a consistent starter with further improvement and experience. The 6’4″ guard would provide much needed help at the guard position with the ability to stretch the floor and shoot the three while putting pressure on the defense and getting to the rim.
Maryland Terrapins
Another program that offered the former St. John’s guard during his recruiting process, Maryland, would be an ideal place for Glover’s development. Though there is a new staff in place, as Buzz Williams replaced Kevin Willard as the head coach after this season, Williams would be wise to add as many talented players as possible.
That would include Glover, who, as a four-star, impressed on the high school and AAU circuit. It wouldn’t be too far of a detour for the New York native as well.
Illinois Fighting Illini
The Fighting Illini offered Glover in 2023 and he could reconnect with the same staff headed by coach Brad Underwood. Illinois recently was met with the news that lead guard Kasparas Jakucionis and bench scorer Will Riley are declaring for the NBA Draft, leaving a void at key positions.

Glover would fit well in helping provide some of the scoring punch off the bench that Riley provided, as well as handling the ball at times. The Illini would be wise to replace talent with talent after losing two NBA prospects.
Nebraska Cornhuskers
Head coach Fred Hoiberg and his Cornhuskers staff were the first to offer Glover — which makes this an immediate contact point for the pairing. Nebraska won the first edition of the College Basketball Crown this past season behind the high-scoring of senior guard Brice Williams, who won’t be back next season.
While others are in place to step in, Glover could be a large part of that group if he were to join the Cornhuskers.
