Is Luke Murray Related to Bill Murray?
Yes. Luke Murray, who is the assistant coach on the UConn men’s basketball team under head coach Dan Hurley, was born to actor Bill Murray and his then-wife Margaret Kelly.

After UConn clinched the 2024 National Championship, Bill celebrated the victory with his son, along with players and fans.
“I couldn’t get anything done all day long,” Bill told The Big East after Huskies’ win against Gonzaga in the Elite Eight. “I was just walking around the hotel room just forgetting everything, toothbrush, phone, watch, couldn’t find anything.
“It was a lot of nerves to get here, but it’s sure fun now. I had a really big smile on my face earlier. My jaw was hurting… I’m very proud of this boy, he’s a wonderful kid and he’s worked very hard.”
