Govan posted the reel with pictures of herself to the song ‘Como La Flor’, wearing a crop top with the Mexican colors of green, white, and red and Mexico’s coat of arms. She appears to be on a beach and devouring some delicious Macrons too. In the caption to the post, she wrote,

In the caption, Govan showed love for her daughter, Izela Arenas, who currently plays as a guard for the Kansas State Wildcats women’s basketball team. She is currently a sophomore, averaging 9.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game this season. She played her freshman season at Louisville, where she averaged 4.2 ppg, 0.9 assists, and 1.2 rebounds in 29 games.
Before heading to college, Arenas was ranked 88th and a four-star prospect in the ESPNW/Hoopgurlz top-100 for the class of 2024. She helped Sierra Canyon to a 31-3 record and a final national ranking of ninth in her high school career.
Laura Govan herself has been a famous media personality and is most famously known for dating Gilbert Arenas from 2002 to 2014. She is best known for her roles in Almost Amazing (2017), JC Tha Barber (2017), and Basketball Wives LA (2011). She is the mother of four of Gilbert Arenas’ children.
How did Gilbert Arenas and Laura Govan meet?
Laura Govan and Gilbert Arenas met in 2001 when Arenas was playing his rookie season for the Golden State Warriors. The couple hit it off almost immediately, and by 2022, they went official with their relationship. Govan and Arenas were now one of the power couples in LA and the Bay Area.
In 2008, the couple got engaged and were soon raising four children together. However, they went their separate ways in 2014. In an appearance on the Deep Healings Conversations podcast, Govan admitted that she was in a “fight to f**k” relationship with Arenas. Though she thought that was the love language they had, at one point, she came to realize how toxic such a relationship could be for the future.
