Florida vs. North Florida Prediction, Starting Lineup And Injury Report Ft. Kamrin Oriol

The third-ranked Florida Gators will take the floor on their home court Thursday night and need to make a statement as they take on the North Florida Ospreys at 8 p.m. at the O’Connell Center.

The defending national champions would like to bounce back against North Florida in-state after suffering a disappointing 93-87 loss Saturday to Arizona in Las Vegas just three days earlier.

This game also marks the first time North Florida fans will see their team play in the 2025 season, as the Ospreys enter their first contest of the season under first-year head coach Bobby Kennen.

Projected Starting Lineups For Florida vs. North Florida

    Florida Gators Expected Starting Lineup

    Guard: Boogie Fland

    Guard: Xaivian Lee

    Forward/Guard: Thomas Haugh

    Forward: Alex Condon

    Center: Rueben Chinyelu

This was the Gators’ starting lineup in their 87-93 lost against the Arizona Wildcats. Despite facing a tough loss the last time around, it’s highly unlikely they will change their starting lineup this early in the season.

North Florida Ospreys Expected Starting Lineup

    Guard: Dalton Gayman

    Guard: Kent Jackson

    Guard: Kamrin Oriol

    Forward: BJ Plummer

    Forward: Mason Lee

The North Florid Ospreys won their exhibition game with a scoreline of 84-60 over Warner on October 29 and it’s highly probable that they will stick with the same aforementioned lineup which got them the triumph.

Florida vs. North Florida Injury Report

Both the teams have no reported injuries thus far, so expect a full roster strength game at the O’Connell Center in Gainesville, Florida.

    Florida vs. North Florida prediction

History indicates this matchup will be one-sided as Florida is an all-time series 11-0 with an average margin of victory of more than 33 points.

Last December, Florida crushed North Florida 99-45, with Will Richard exploding for 26 points. The 54-point margin was the ninth-largest margin of victory in school history. Florida has won 34 straight home openers since 1991.

North Florida presents a chance for the Gators to regain confidence after losing to Arizona just three days earlier. The Ospreys have no returning starters from last year’s 15-17 team and are undergoing a transition under new leadership. Their most experienced point guard, Kamrin Oriol, averaged a whopping 21 minutes off the bench.

The Ospreys have ranked among the national leaders in the three-point attempt rate over the last six years as 54 percent of their shots came from three last year.

Florida is favored by 37.5 points and the total is 168.5, so odds-makers expect the lop-sided score to continue from a year ago.

Prediction: Florida Gators wins convincingly with a scoreline of  92-65
