After winning yet another NCAA national title last April, Florida Gators fans are still on a high. A lot of them were reminiscing on past teams, especially that legendary back-to-back championship team led by Al Horford and Joakim Noah, with many debating which were the greatest Gators of all time.
The Florida Basketball Hour X account revealed its take on who is Florida Basketball’s Mount Rushmore, saying it should have Joakim Noah, Al Horford, Walter Clayton Jr., and back-to-back championship head coach Billy Donovan.

This sparked a debate on X, with many disagreeing with the X page’s choices.
“No Mad Max? That’s like leaving out Emmitt or Wil ur for Football,” said one Florida fan, referring to Vernon Maxwell.

“Maxwell, Clayton, Noah, Miller nice to have so many great basketball players in UF history where it feels wrong leaving some names off,” another fan said.
“Say Todd Golden does better than Donovan, who gets pushed out? Noah or Horford for me, 0 clue which. Tier 2 includes chiozza and Ke Allen, etc bc I’m tired,” another fan argued.
Few fans also argued that choosing just four players or coaches for Florida’s Mount Rushmore would just be too hard, as there were too many who contributed much to the team.
“Man. You can’t choose 4. When Rushmore was built, there were only 30 presidents. Picking 4 was easy. We have 1000s of players. Andrew DeClerq, Neal Walk, even Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller all deserve recognition. The 04s could have a mountain for themselves,” one Florida fan pointed out.
“This is hard man Brewer, Green deserve a spot Walsh, Lee, Miller deserve some consideration Could name a few more,” added another fan.
“Haslem and David Lee have to be in the discussion,” noted another person.
