‘Gonna Get Shadeur’d’ – Fans Roast Walter Clayton Jr.’s Draft Uncertainty with Shedeur Sanders Jokes After Sweet Video with Daughter Goes Viral

Walter Clayton Jr. was the heart of the Florida Gators’ title run in 2025, but fans are now joking about his NBA future. After pulling out of the 2024 NBA Draft, the Florida star ran riot in March Madness, secured a national title, and was crowned the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.

Now, with the 2025 NBA Draft on the horizon, a wholesome video of Clayton getting suited up alongside his daughter is going viral.

Fans wasted no time filling out the comments section.

“He’s gonna get Shadeur’d,” one user joked, referring to the dramatic fall of Deion Sanders’ son, Shedeur Sanders, in the 2025 NFL Draft in April. Shedeur was projected as a 1st-round pick but saw his name called on the third day, as the Cleveland Browns picked him 144th overall in the fifth round.

Throwing cold water on the heartwarming moment, another X user wrote, “Why lol, he won’t be getting picked.”

Another tweeted, “I’m still hating idc.”

“NBA, I dont think this is coming across as the “family man”, “good character” PR you think it is. Even for the perceived good character dude in Cade who last did this for when had a kid in teens left his kid in Texas,” tweeted another.

Some fans had a receptive reaction to Clayton Jr.’s video with his daughter.

One fan commented, “Daddy’s getting a new job soon 🙌.”

“He’s going to be a contributor on a championship team and be better than 90% of the guys drafted ahead of him. Dude is a hooper,” wrote another one.

The hype is real for Walter Clayton Jr., who averaged 18.3 points, 4.2 assists, and shot 38.6% from deep this past season. He also dropped 21.8 points per game during the NCAA tournament, shooting nearly 46% from three. That’s not luck, that’s NBA-ready stuff.

LeBron James’ former team is a frontrunner in signing Walter Clayton Jr.

The Miami Heat might be cooking up a draft-day steal, and Walter Clayton Jr. could be their main ingredient. The Florida point guard is now the frontrunner to land at LeBron James’ former team.

Clayton has worked out with the Heat twice before, canceling all other sessions. He’s got coach Erik Spoelstra’s attention, too.

When asked about his dream dinner lineup recently, Clayton said:

“Erik Spoelstra… Erik Spoelstra, Rick Ross, and probably Kobe.”

After averaging 18.3 points and draining 38.6% from deep, Walter Clayton Jr. could join Miami in the 2025 NBA Draft.
