NFL legend and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady‘s son may be trying to carve out a career in a different sport than his father. On Thursday, Dec. 11, @overtime posted a video compilation on Instagram, featuring Brady’s son, Jack Moynahan, during a recent basketball game. The post was meant to hype up the teenager’s hooping skills as opposed to Brady’s football prestige.
The clips show Moynahan as a reliable swingman on both ends of the floor. The 6-foot-6 forward is seen cutting through lanes for easy finishes around the rim, stepping outside to sink three-pointers, grabbing rebounds, and being a towering presence on defense, as he was able to collect a couple of blocks. Moynahan is currently playing for the Riverdale Country Falcons.

Fans online wondered why Moynahan opted to wear his mother’s last name on his jersey instead of Brady’s.
“Wait a minute, why is he using his mom’s last name??,” one user questioned.
“Why last name not ‘Brady’?,” another user said.
“Bro is using his mom’s last name,” a user shared with a sad emoji.
Other users shared their thoughts on Moynahan’s game and whether it can get him to the next level.
“Tom Brady son got some game, for real. I won’t be surprised he go to Michigan like his dad did,” one user claimed.
“Dad’s athleticism…Should be dunking all that,” another user pointed out.
“Man, looking at the players, there is a lot of fundamentals going on out there,” another commented.

Perhaps the reason why Moynahan’s basketball skillset has garnered so much attention on social media is that his father is considered by many the greatest NFL player of all time. As mentioned above, Brady won a staggering seven Super Bowl titles, six with the New England Patriots and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Last month, Tom Brady uploaded a joint post on Instagram with New York Knicks All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns, as Jack Moynahan trained with the basketball star.
In the carousel post, Brady is seen looking on as Towns is seen mentoring the young aspirant, Moynahan. Towns joked in his caption that they’ll hit the football field next.
