Despite getting Cooper Flagg on their team, the Dallas Mavericks fans are still angry at general manager Nico Harrison for trading Luka Doncic.
The No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Flagg, is highly anticipated to be the next face of the league.
When the Mavericks did the unthinkable and traded Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers on Feb. 1, no one expected the team to land the No. 1 overall pick in the lottery.
Beating the teams that tanked the season and lost on purpose throughout the year, Dallas won the first pick with only a 1.8% chance, which many fans believe wasn’t just good luck.
After the 2025 Draft, when Harrison said “fortune favours the bold,” some fans had a blunt reaction.

Here are the fan reactions:
“Everyone Know This Is Rigged,” one fan conspired.
“Nico, probably: Well we hear he doesn’t eat or drink much so that naturally catapulted him to the top of our draft board,” another fan wrote.
“Literally given to them by Adam Silver. There is no way in hell they actually got the first round pick by luck alone,” another fan made his thoughts clear.
“Fortune favors the bold” when 0s and 1s on an electric circuit ended up randomly being in your favor 💀” another fan commented.
“You smug piece of s*it. Worst trade in NBA history, and commissioner pe*ishead and him both taking a victory lap for this collusion,” A fan expressed frustration.
“Man idc what nobody say they did some type of behind the scenes negotiation for this to happen no way you trade your best player ever and then somehow land the # 1 pick,” Another fan added.
Khaman Maluach Refuses To Weigh In on Cooper Flagg’s Claims
During the 2025 NBA Draft event, Cooper Flagg was asked by a reporter to recall a time when he dunked on a teammate.
Responding to the question playfully, Flagg said he dunked on Khaman Maluach “pretty good” one time and even shared that it was one of his better dunks.
“I dunked on Khaman pretty good,” Flagg said. “Yeah, that was one of my better dunks. I dunked on Khaman pretty good.”
When the interviewer asked Khaman about Flagg’s claims, the ex-Duke star said he doesn’t live in the past and focuses on the present moment.
“I’m not gonna say about the past,” Maluach said. “I don’t live in the past so much or in the future. I enjoy the present moment.”
Notably, Khaman Malauch was picked No.10 overall by the Houston Rockets in the 2025 NBA Draft.
