Arceneaux initially visited North Carolina State and the University of Virginia but ultimately chose the Wolfpack. Arceneaux joined Houston as a four-star recruit out of Beaumont, Texas, committing to Kelvin Sampson straight out of high school over offers from programs including Texas A&M, LSU, TCU, Baylor, and Texas. He has spent the last three seasons with the Cougars.
He played all 40 games in the 24/25 season, starting six and averaging 20.3 minutes, 6.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game. He averaged 5.2 points and 2.9 rebounds over 85 games across his three-year stay in Houston.
It remains to be seen what role Arceneaux will play with the Wolfpack as Will Wade’s roster continues to take shape. The Wolfpack has now added six incomings from the transfer portal to its roster.
North Carolina State is listed at No. 31 in the 247Sports transfer rankings and No. 25 in overall recruiting for the upcoming season. Compared to the rest of the ACC, it ranks No. 6 in its transfer ranking and No. 8 overall.

Upon hiring, Will Wade acknowledged that recruiting in the first few years would be portal-heavy. He hopes to get to a point where the program adds three or four players out of the portal each season, with one or two freshmen. NC State currently has about six open spots on the roster.
