    WATCH: Dylan Harper’s Mom Maria Kicks Off 2025 NBA Draft Day Celebration Early with Sparkling Gift for Projected No. 2 Pick

    Mere hours before the NBA Draft, expected first-rounder Dylan Harper got a special gift from his mom, Maria, to celebrate his single season at the college level with the Rutgers Scarlet Knights. Although, Scarlet Knights failed to qualify for the NCAA tournament, Harper emerged as a shining star.

    Notably, Harper was named a third-team All-Big Ten and a Big Ten All-Freshman team selection in 2025. To celebrate this, Harper’s mom gifted him three personalized diamond chains.

    In 2024-25, Dylan Harper averaged 19.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. His field goal percentage was 48.4%.

    Harper is expected to become the second overall pick of the NBA Draft, with odds of -10000 according to ESPN Bet. The favorite to be the first overall pick of the draft is Duke’s Cooper Flagg and the top three is rounded out by Harper’s Rutgers teammate Ace Bailey.

    Dylan Harper: A San Antonio Spur?

    Most analysts expect the San Antonio Spurs to pick Dylan Harper during the NBA Draft with the second overall pick. Nonetheless, Harper himself is ready for any outcome. He said so himself this Tuesday:

    “Yeah, I’m just like the rest of you guys,” Harper said during a Tuesday afternoon media session. “I mean, the NBA — you never truly know until it happens. So, I mean, ain’t nothing set in stone until tomorrow at 8 o’clock (Brooklyn time).”

    When asked where he would see himself with the Spurs if chosen by them, Harper said:

    “Obviously, they’ve got two guards, but I mean, positionless basketball is really a thing in the league now,” Harper said. “And you’ve got a 7′4″ big out there in Wemby (Victor Wembanyama). Great player, going to be a Hall of Famer. They’ve got a lot of depth on that team.”

    Harper also said that playing alongside Wembanyama would be a dream for him. With regards to the atmosphere in and around San Antonio he seemed less sure, noting that both times he had been to the city he had taco breakfast. He also highlighted the heat in Texas, but said it could be a great environment to develop in. Nonetheless, Harper himself is ready for any outcome. He said so himself this Tuesday:
