Donovan Mitchell has started the season in supreme form. In 7 games so far for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Mitchell has averaged a whooping 31.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 5 assists. 6x all-star has been the main man for the Cavaliers for 3 years now. He has most recently entered his name in the Cavaliers’ history books. Mitchell broke the record of a Cleveland legend, Kyrie Irving.
Kyrie Irving played for the Cavaliers for 6 years, ever since his draft in 2011. Along with LeBron James, Irving made a formidable partnership. 9x All-Star won the NBA championship in 2016, beating an extraordinary Warriors team. During his time in Cleveland, Kyrie held the record for having the most efficient shooting game. Mitchell recently broke that record.

Mitchel also revealed what motivated him to score 46 points against the Philadelphia 76ers.
“I wouldn’t put the game that I had based on the court. This kid pissed me off when I was playing 2K,” he said with a laugh. He revealed, “I’d been playing 2K for like 2 hours and I told him 2 hours like wait, just wait. He just called me washed. He called me a bunch of things.”
Mitchell continued, “But I love it, you know what I mean. Seeing the highlight for me in a minute, I just told him, alright, we’ll see. He told me to go to sleep. He was going in. So this game was for that kid or a grown man, whoever that was. So I appreciate you. I told him I’ll give him a shoutout. So that’s what tonight was.”
Mitchell scored 46 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 assists. He made 15 out of 21 field goals with 71.4% and 6-11 3 pointers. He also had an astounding 100% free-throw accuracy.
