“I Don’t Bow Down”: Dillon Brooks Drops Fiery Attack on LeBron James After 33 Points in Win vs Lakers

LeBron James has finally returned to full fitness and has now played five games this season. In his record 23rd year in the NBA, LeBron is averaging 15.2 points, 4 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game. The 40-year-old legend has shown that he still has a lot to offer to this Lakers side, even if Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves are playing their best basketball.

Recently, LeBron James saved one of his streaks from ending in his illustrious career. He scored 10 points during the 125-108 loss to the Suns on Monday. This meant that he kept alive his incredible streak of scoring in double digits in 1,297 consecutive regular-season games. James made a 3-pointer with 6:51 left to save the streak, which began on Jan. 7, 2007.

While this is in itself a record and achievement that many players would dream of, Dillon Brooks of the Phoenix Suns was hardly impressed. In fact, he decided to poke LeBron with a fiery response.

“I am a competitor, man. I don’t really like the smiling, the giggling, and all that. He [LeBron James] likes people who bow down; I don’t bow down. So that either entices him or aggravates him. Either, or,” Dillon Brooks answered when asked about his opinion on LeBron and how they have never gotten along.

Brooks had a strong outing against the Lakers. He scored 33 points and led the Suns in points, followed by Collin Gillespie’s 28. Luka Doncic led the floor with another massive performance, scoring 38 points, though it wasn’t enough.

Fans React To Dillon Brooks’ Poke At LeBron James

Fans online were impressed with Brooks’ straightforwardness. A few also mocked his supposed feud with LeBron James.

“90’s mindset. As fans this the NBA we love. Players not liking each other. Maybe after game, yes shake hands but it stops there,” Lethal SHooter Chris Matthews said.

“We need people like this in the NBA,!” one fan exclaimed.

“Dillion Brooks is the modern day Patrick Beverly lol,” one fan compared.

“Didnt he give him 40 in the playoffs?” one fan remembered.

“Bro really wants to be in the documentary so bad..He’ll end up in the credits,” another joked.

“Bron has been destroying dude ever since he came into the league now all of a sudden u have 30 n win n now u talking,” another said.

“I can respect the competitiveness, but we all know if Bron really wanted to turn up on this… he would be food. Facts,” another commented.
