Dan Hurley is an intense coach. He wears his emotions on his sleeve. Hurley is known for his anger, rage and his furious outbursts on the court. He has been at UConn since 2018. In 7 years with the Huskies, Hurley’s career highlight has been the back-to-back national championships in 2023 and 2024.
Hurley has had a lot of moments on the sidelines where he went off the rails on his players, a game situation or even the officials. Hurley is one of the most passionate coaches in the basketball world, and he is never shy to show his passion on the court. Another such moment happened in a recent exhibition game between UConn and Michigan State.

Dan Hurley was seen shouting and screaming at his players in a fit of rage. People demanded lip-reading for the incident. One of the users commented and revealed what Hurley possibly said.
“Are you f*cking kidding me? Are you f*cking kidding me? That’s back to back. Play with some f*cking physicality or I’m taking you out. You f*cking soft a** m************.” Hurley’s outburst was full of profanities as he was fired up. Dan clearly showed how much every game means to him, even if it is an exhibition game.
Fans React To Dan Hurley’s Profanity-Filled Crashout On UConn Players
Fans had divided reaction on UConn HC behavior as they usually do.
“This was the same guy who whined about MTE events last year,” one fan said.
“He gets results, though. Kids obviously don’t care because they keep going there. Wouldn’t be my preference, but the results speak for themselves,” one fan made sense of Hurley’s antics.
“The new Bob Knight,” one fan compared.
“You should see him at practice…,” another fan claimed.
“They do matter. It’s the final score that isn’t important,” one user said about exhibition games.
“Imagine how mad he will get after losing to the gators again this year,” another mocked Dan Hurley’s reaction after elimination vs Florida last season.
“Get ready for a lot more of these videos the next few months,” another commented.
UConn Huskies emerged winners vs Michigan State. The score was 76-69. However, the game was filled with fouls and Hurley expected a much better from his team.
