“Cooper and I used to have some battles in the driveway, and he has never beat me. My strategy was that he was 10 years old and I outweighed him by a significant amount and was taller than him back then, so I would just back him down and bully him. The beginning of the year of 6th grade, they were only about 5’8”, I’m 5’9.5” 5’10”, so I was still taller than him. And about two months in, suddenly we were eye to eye and then by the end of 6th grade he was 6’2”.

“We were playing in the driveway, our last game ever, and I believe the score was nine to eight, nine to seven. I might have been behind at that point, but I made this great crossover move at the foul line; I took him left, I did a little jump stop, I did a little up fake, he went for it, and I was about to score so easily on him, and get fouled, and I felt something in my knee that was not quite right and I tore my meniscus, and I was unable to play from that day forward, I just, my knees are not the same, and so we ended the game, and unfortunately for him, he never beat me.”
