Collin Murray-Boyles is heading to the Toronto Raptors after being picked ninth overall in the 2025 NBA Draft on Wednesday, June 25. His close ones were there to cherish the moment. The franchise up north preferred the South Carolina native over Duke star Khaman Maluach, who was later picked by the Phoenix Suns at No. 10.
After his name was announced, Murray-Boyles’ alleged reaction became a talking point on the internet. Apparently, he shouted “F*ck” upon hearing the name ‘Raptors.’ Nonetheless, what was more important was that he had the best of the people with him to celebrate this moment.
Murray-Boyles hugged his mother, Yvonne Boyles, before embracing his father, Sean. Finally, he shared a warm hug with his girlfriend and South Carolina Gamecocks player Chloe Kitts, who sported a bright red outfit.

It was a dream-come-true moment for Collin Murray-Boyles, who charted the journey to the NBA. He went to A.C. Flora HS, earning Class 4A Player of the Year after producing 18.3 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 5.3 blocks per game, before transferring to Wasatch Academy for his senior year.
He was a four-star recruit who committed to play college basketball for South Carolina. He is coming off his sophomore season, where he averaged 16.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 2.8 steals per game.
In Murray-Boyles, Toronto gets two-way versatility, high IQ, strong finishing inside, and defensive presence. He should come in handy if Toronto develops him well.
