Arizona freshman Carter Bryant appears to be a lock to be selected in the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft. NBA.com has him projected as the No. 16 pick, while NBA Draft Room has him at No. 10 and CBS Sports projects him at No. 24.

5 Potential NBA Landing Spots for Carter Bryant
Bryant made his debut with the Arizona Wildcats last season. His record wasn’t stellar, and he played relatively little, but it was enough to impress the basketball world at both the NCAA and NBA levels.
Bryant averaged 19.3 minutes per game and started only five of the 37 games he played with the Wildcats. He averaged 6.5 points and one assist per game and shot over 80% from the field.
Let’s take a look at five NBA teams that might be interested in him
Portland Trail Blazers
The Blazers need big players with good defense, something Bryant excelled at at the NCAA level. The 19-year-old stands at 6’8″ and plays very well under the rim, grabbing 152 rebounds last college season, 120 of them on the defensive end.
In addition, Bryant made 37 blocks, 35 steals, and forced 37 turnovers, numbers that speak volumes about his defensive abilities.
Orlando Magic and Oklahoma City Thunder
Both Magics and Thunders could be interested in the future prospects of Bryant, a player with tremendous upside. His defensive skills and scoring numbers indicate that he could be a solid option in just a few years.
Brooklyn Nets
The Nets could be interested in Bryant for the immediate future. His defensive record and off-ball skills fall right into their desired range for their upcoming draft picks.
San Antonio Spurs
The Spurs need a player with Bryant’s skills to complement Stephon Castle, De’Aaron Fox, and Victor Wembanyama, who look like the team’s future on defense.

One point in favor of the Arizona freshman is that, given his age, he’s an option for the future with significant development potential.
Bryant has until May 28 to withdraw his name from the draft. If he does that and returns to the Wildcats, a revenue-sharing contract awaits, a clear sign that Arizona knows what it has in him.
