It’s not every day you see a state record broken in a high school basketball game. It’s less likely to see two records fall. But when the record-setters are brothers, the story becomes truly unbelievable.
But believe it. Mesrobian (Cali.) High School siblings Dylan and Nick Khatchikian put up two unfathomable stat lines in a 119-25 win.

Dylan and Nick Khatchikian Set Remarkable High School Basketball Records in Same Game
Dylan and Nick Khatchikian are the stars of their high school basketball team. They each have defined roles, too: Dylan is the passer and Nick is the scorer.
In fact, Nick has taken nearly half of the team’s shots this season and Dylan has over a third of the team’s assists, despite missing over half of the season.
So perhaps it shouldn’t be too surprising that the two put up complementary stat lines in a recent win over conference foe Waverly.
Dylan tied the national record with 35 assists in the game while Nick scored a state-record 102 points on just 60 shot attempts. The rest of the team scored a combined 15 points. Dylan didn’t contribute to the score line in that way, as he never attempted a shot.

In fact, Dylan compiled a triple-double, with 15 rebounds and 13 steals to go along with his record 35 assists. Nick added eight rebounds and six steals.
The seniors posed after their incredible feats, only hearing they’d accomplished those records after the game. Mesrobian played a remarkably clean game, committing just two fouls and seven turnovers.
Now 3-0 in their conference, Mesrobian will try to build on their remarkable game with five conference games in their last seven.
As for Nick and Dylan, they’ve probably each had their best game of the season, but you never know.
