The 2025 NBA Draft will take place over two days, just like the 2024 draft, on June 25 and 26. That means we’re not far from the day when many elite rookies will make the jump from college to the pro league.
As the draft approaches, every team is preparing to make the best use of their picks, and the Brooklyn Nets are no exception. After their No. 8 overall pick, their most talked-about selection is the No. 19 overall pick. According to the latest mock drafts, they may be targeting St. Joseph’s forward Rasheer Fleming, who boasts a 7’4″ wingspan.

Is Rasheer Fleming Going to the Nets at No. 19 in the 2025 Draft?
The Brooklyn Nets are well-prepared for the 2025 NBA Draft. They hold four first-round picks and one second-rounder. Even though they dropped to No. 8 in the draft lottery, they still have room to move up if they like. The No. 8 pick will likely go to a top prospect, but it’s the No. 19 pick that’s starting to draw attention, especially with Fleming in the mix.
With a 7’5 wingspan, and a chiseled frame, Rasheer Fleming is a prototypical NBA big man physically, with strong finishing and floor-spacing prowess. He filled up the stat sheet with dunks, 3s, rebounds, steals and blocks, making highlight-reel plays with his exceptional length. https://t.co/ExcuHdrAP8 pic.twitter.com/DkvqWKDErp

Fleming, a 6’9″ forward from Saint Joseph’s, has seen his draft stock rise quickly. CSN’s latest mock draft places him right in the Nets’ range as a mid-first-round pick. “Fleming has risen greatly throughout the draft process and is now slated to be picked right around this range, where the Nets hold their second of four first-round picks,” they noted.
“A little but older of a prospect, Fleming is more of a sure thing as a defensive disruptor — at 6’9″, he has a 7’4″ wingspan — and could contribute right away after spending three seasons at Saint Joseph’s.
The New Jersey native’s draft stock has been rising continuously, and he is currently projected as a late first-round pick, sitting at No. 30 on ESPN’s latest draft board.
Despite this, speculation suggests that some teams are considering selecting him earlier, with the Brooklyn Nets potentially targeting him at No. 19 overall. Additionally, CBS Sports recently projected him to go No. 11 overall to the Portland Trail Blazers, showing how quickly his stock is rising.
The St. Joseph’s forward averaged 14.7 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game in his junior season at Saint Joseph’s, while shooting 39% from deep. These impressive stats justify his initial projection at No. 30 overall, but his defensive versatility and 7’4″ wingspan are making teams reconsider, potentially moving him into mid-first-round status.
If the Nets believe Fleming fits their system, they could take him earlier than expected at No. 19. However, considering that they will likely use their No. 8 pick for a higher-tier prospect, it seems more realistic to select Fleming at No. 19. If they see better fits available, they could wait until No. 26 or No. 27 to select him instead.

Ultimately, his pre-draft workouts, interviews, and combine performances will determine whether Brooklyn locks in on him early or looks elsewhere at No. 19.
