Where Could Ben Saraf Land? 5 Best NBA Fits for the International Guard Prospect

While many in the 2025 NBA Draft may already have some very predictable destinations, a lot of the mock drafts are divided on Ben Saraf, a 6’6 guard from Israel. The top two picks for this year has been more or less assured, but three onwards has been on a state of flux, with some mock drafts having Saraf in the teens, while others in the twenties.

At 6’6, the Israeli guard has been noted for his excellent playmaking and good footwork, making many insiders believe he could go in the first round, around the teens. However, he is a poor shooter who struggles defensively, and these concerns have other scouts playing him around the twenties. Here are possible fits for him:

Five Possible Teams Ben Saraf Could Land In

    Orlando Magic

Ben Saraf played for the German team, Ratiopharm Ulm, in the Euroleague, impressing many with his ball-handling and playmaking. This is something Orlando needs for next season, and may use their No. 15 pick to get the Israeli point guard.

    Phoenix Suns

In a mock draft by Sam Vecenie of The Athletic, he drafted Saraf as the No. 29 overall, which means that the big point guard may possibly get drafted by the Phoenix Suns. The U18 European champion has been impressive, and the Suns are another team that is in need of a playmaking and ballhandling point guard.

    Atlanta Hawks

Meanwhile, Peachtree Hoops predicted that the Atlanta Hawks could pick him at No. 22. Should the Hawks get the guard, he could become an immediate option for them with his playmaking. While he still struggles with shooting and defense, the man from Israel can get a lot of opportunities at Atlanta, especially with Kobe Bufkin out.

    Los Angeles Clippers

With his shooting and defensive woes, as well as his lack of athleticism, many experts are even predicting that he could go as low as No. 30, which the Clippers currently have. According to Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman, this could still be a big steal for the Clippers, especially with how well of a ballhandler the 6’6 guard is. He also pointed out that teams may be apprehensive with his shooting, defense and athleticism.

    Brooklyn Nets

The Brooklyn Nets don’t just have the No. 8 pick, as they also have the No. 19 pick this year. While they are expected to use the eighth pick for Duke center Khaman Maluach, they may use their later pick to get another international star in Ben Saraf, who could help the team improve the perimeter with his playmaking. He may also complement Maluach, who hails from South Sudan.
