Former player and interim head coach for the Indiana Hoosiers and now host of Don’t @ Me on OutKick, Dan Dakich is glad Shaquille O’Neal is not a part of CBS’ college basketball coverage.
Dakich, who has been critical of O’Neal’s coverage of the NBA in the past, went on a rant about his comments on The Big Podcast, where O’Neal called the league a “shit product.”

Former ESPN Analyst Dan Dakich Is Happy Shaq Isn’t Covering College Basketball
“Charles and Shaq have been known to tell you exactly how they feel about the NBA. ‘The Big Diesel’ lost his damn mind, he slams the NBA as a quote ‘shit product,’” Dakich said.

Dakich played a clip from O’Neal’s podcast, criticizing today’s NBA product.
“People say Charles and I, we ruined the game talking about the product because the product is shit,” O’Neal said. “Bro, show me greatness. Ben Simmons needs to be fucking arrested, 250 for that shit? 250 million for that bullshit? Get the fuck out my face, robbing people, man.”
Dakich then went into a tirade of O’Neal, slamming him for his work ethic, among other things.
“I get tired of Shaq’s act. Everybody’s stupid, everybody’s soft but Shaq. I remember when your fat ass was sitting at the end of a bench, with the freaking Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics taking up space chasing another ring and getting paid a hell of a lot of money. I’m all Shaqed out, I am,” Dakich said.
“I’m glad they don’t have him on college basketball; that would mean too much studying for him; he doesn’t wanna do that; there’s only like 32 teams in the NBA; college basketball, you have to start with 68. and work it from there.”
“There has never been a day, as a basketball player, not as a big fat dunker, not as a big strong guy with a good personality, there’s never been a day in Shaq’s life that he could play basketball nearly as well as Nikola Jokic.”

“And I don’t care how many points Shaq got, I know he and Kobe won championships; great, Jokic would be a basketball player if he were 6’2”, and Shaq would have never touched the court. 6’2” Shaq plays tight end, 6’2” Shaq’s a left tackle, 6’2” Shaq could not play basketball. So when he says I wanna see greatness, well, you have seen it.”
