Bryce James isn’t heading to Arizona alone. The son of NBA legend LeBron James, who committed to the Arizona Wildcats on Jan. 1, will be part of one of the strongest recruiting classes in the program’s recent history. His commitment has garnered significant attention, but equally impressive are the elite prospects joining him.

Arizona’s 2025 recruiting class features a remarkable blend of high-ceiling talent and name recognition. The Wildcats have secured commitments from multiple top-ranked prospects, positioning themselves as a formidable force in 2025. 2025 Arizona Wildcats Basketball 2025 Recruiting Class Overview

    F Koa Peat

Leading the pack is five-star forward Koa Peat, who is ranked No. 8 overall in the 2025 class according to 247Sports Composite. Standing 6’8″ and weighing 235 pounds, Peat committed to Arizona on March 27, choosing the Wildcats over Arizona State, Houston, and Texas.

As a native of Arizona, he brings local star power as the top-ranked player in his home state. Scouts describe him as a “constant double-double threat” with excellent hands, basketball instincts, and a polished mid-range game extending to 15-18 feet.

Peat’s basketball pedigree is impressive, including three gold medals with USA Basketball and the 2023 USA Basketball Male Athlete of the Year award. At Perry High School, he captured four consecutive Arizona state championships, cementing his status as an elite prospect.

As the highest-rated commit under Lloyd, Peat is expected to make an immediate impact, potentially filling the void if freshman Carter Bryant departs for the NBA draft. His commitment was a massive win for Arizona’s recruiting efforts.

    G Brayden Burries

Another five-star addition is Brayden Burries, ranked No. 11 overall in the 2025 class. The 6’4″ shooting guard from Sierra Canyon High School committed to Arizona on April 9, delivering another recruiting victory for the Wildcats.

Burries brings impressive scoring ability, athleticism, and versatility to Arizona’s backcourt. As a McDonald’s All-American, he averaged 29.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists during his senior season, showcasing his all-around game.

His familiarity with Bryce James as a teammate at Sierra Canyon could prove valuable, potentially easing their transition to college basketball. Analysts project Burries as a potential replacement for departing senior Caleb Love, with comparable scoring instincts and playmaking ability.

    F Dwayne Aristode

Dwayne Aristode, a 6’8″ forward from the Netherlands via Brewster Academy, rounds out Arizona’s top recruits. Ranked No. 38 overall, Aristode is often classified as a high four-star or low five-star prospect.

Tommy Lloyd’s first commit in the 2025 class in October 2024, who signed in November 2024, set the foundation for what would become an elite recruiting haul. He brings international flair along with impressive length, athleticism, and positional versatility to the Wildcats’ roster.

Despite missing his senior season due to injury, Aristode’s potential remains tantalizing. His Dutch background aligns with Lloyd’s successful track record developing international talent following players like Henri Veesaar and Motiejus Krivas.

With these commitments alongside Bryce James, Arizona’s 2025 class ranks among the nation’s best. The blend of immediate impact players and developmental prospects positions the Wildcats for success in their new Big 12 conference home, potentially earning a preseason top 10 ranking for 2025-26.
