LeBron James and “fail” in the same sentence? We guess that’s where we are right now. LeBron James is at the business end of his career, and let’s say his form has certainly dipped a little. But James’ apparent “downfall” is often something many players do consistently.
James recently broke his 1,297-game-long streak of scoring in double digits. An early-season injury also ruled James out of the first game of the season for the first time in his 23-year-long career.
NBA legend will turn 41 years old in a few days time. And while many people can’t stand the thought of seeing The King retire, there are also some people who actually look forward to LeBron’s failure. Timberwolves’ Anthony Edwards recently commented on such people.

“I’ve never seen so many people be so happy to see an athlete fail more than LeBron. His whole career he’s been hated on constantly and slandered to no end to the point where when he retires, nobody would have appreciated his greatness. I’m glad I will be one who did,” Anthony Edwards gave LeBron James his flowers.
There have been a lot of rumors going around about LeBron James taking a second fiddle type of role and encouraging Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves.
There have been rumors around LeBron’s retirement as well. He recently admitted that after making an NBA record of playing with his son, Bronny, he doesn’t think he will be able to stay around long enough to play with Bryce. This only shows that he knows that the day is close when he will hang up his boots.
