Oregon State significantly added to its frontcourt, securing a commitment from 7-foot-2 transfer Noah Amenhauser. The former Coastal Carolina standout averaged 10.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks per game last season, shooting an impressive 55.7% from the field and a surprising 40.0% from three-point range.

Oregon State Adds Much-Needed Size and Skill to Frontcourt
Amenhauser’s journey to Oregon State has been a steady climb. He began his college career at Grand Canyon University during the 2023-24 season, where he saw limited action. In 13 appearances, he averaged just 2.6 minutes per game but showed flashes of efficiency, shooting 77.8% from the field and knocking down his lone three-point attempt. Despite the small sample size, his potential was clear.

After transferring to Coastal Carolina, Amenhauser’s role grew significantly. Starting in 30 games for the Chanticleers, he showcased his ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor.
His size and soft touch around the basket made him a consistent scoring option, while his rebounding and shot-blocking presence helped anchor the defense. With shooting splits of 55.7/40.0/63.6, Amenhauser displayed a rare combination of size and skill that caught the attention of several programs this offseason.
Amenhauser’s commitment is a major win for Oregon State, a team looking to rebuild and add frontcourt depth. His addition gives the Beavers a true seven-footer in the rotation and a player capable of stretching the floor when needed. Oregon State will be looking to maximize his versatility and continue developing his game as they navigate through the Pac-12 conference.
Before his collegiate career, Amenhauser stood out at Estrella Foothills High School in Arizona, where he was rated as a three-star recruit. As a senior, he averaged an impressive 21.9 points per game, showing early signs of the scoring ability he would later bring to the college level.

Minnesota and other programs were reportedly interested in adding Amenhauser through the transfer portal, especially with the Gophers needing size after losing key frontcourt players. With Minnesota still holding four open roster spots for 2025-26, Amenhauser would have been one of their tallest players at 7’2”, second only to one player taller than 6-foot-8. However, Oregon State won the battle for his commitment.
With Amenhauser now in the fold, Oregon State gains a skilled, towering presence that can immediately contribute to offense and defense. If he continues to develop his strength and endurance, he could become a key piece for the Beavers over the next few seasons.
