3 Players Whose Draft Stock Is Crashing Ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft Including Ace Bailey

The 2025 NBA draft is but a few days away, and while some players have found their stock rising just one week ahead of the draft, others are finding themselves crashing down a bit. This is because of other players rising up and finding themselves being pulled down, while others have found some flaws in their game.

However, there were also some questionable moves ahead of the draft that led to one player’s stock to go tumbling. Here are three players who may find themselves being drafted later than expected:

3 Draft Prospects Who May Find Their Stock Diminishing Ahead of the 2025 NBA Draft

    Ace Bailey

Perhaps the most obvious name in the list, as his actions ahead of the draft have teams getting turned off regarding him, as well as rubbing the team that would potentially draft him the wrong way. Bailey and his agent, Omar Cooper Sr., have canceled their scheduled private practice session with the Philadelphia 76ers and is not talking to them anymore. They have also refused to talk to any other team, causing his stock to drop.

He was originally predicted to be the No. 3 overall pick by the Sixers, but his actions have significantly caused his stock to drop, all the way down to the No. 6 overall, which is the Washington Wizards. This meant that two other teams may not be picking him up and are apprehensive in dealing with him and his agent because of what they are doing to the Sixers.

    Egor Demin

As other players’ stocks keep rising, others have to go down, and it is often to no fault of their own. An example would be Egor Demin, a Russian point guard who played for BYU last season. During the May and early June mock drafts, ESPN had Demin at No. 11 overall, to be picked by the Portland Trailblazers. He now finds himself at No. 13, possibly picked by the Atlanta Hawks via Sacramento during the mock draft ahead of the actual one.

    Ben Saraf

Ben Saraf was initially seen to be drafted around the teens, especially as he has shown that he is a good scorer and playmaker with one of the best ballhandling skills in the draft class. However, his lack of athleticism, defensive skills, and long-range shooting has many concerned, especially as he likes to play point guard. Some of the later mock drafts have him in the 20s or even 30s rather that the teens.
