The 2025 NBA draft is almost here. Many prospects will have their names called by the commissioner in Brooklyn on June 25 and 26. The consensus overall number one pick this year is Duke’s Cooper Flagg, while Dylan Harper and Ace Bailey are expected to join him as top five picks.
As it is every year, not every player who enters the draft will get selected. Several players won’t have their names called during the draft process, although this doesn’t necessarily mean the end of their professional career.

5 Men’s Basketball Stars Who Could Go Undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft
106 players have filed as early candidates for the 2025 NBA draft, scheduled in June. The problem is that there are only 58 picks available in this year’s draft, meaning as of now, over 40 players are going to be undrafted. Some might withdraw from the process and return to college. Let’s take a look at some players that might go undrafted this year.
PJ Haggerty
Haggerty previously played for the Memphis Tigers, the TCU Horned Frogs, and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane and has been invited to the combine although it is expected that he will withdraw from the draft and secure a transfer for a NIL cash out. He’s rumored to favor a move to NC State.
Caleb Love
Despite his solid career for the North Carolina Tar Heels and Arizona Wildcats, Caleb Love is ranked No. 76 on ESPN’s list of Top 100 NBA prospects. He was not among the 75 players invited to the combine but was one of 45 players invited to the 2025 NBA G League Elite Camp in Chicago.
Amari Williams
Amari Williams is a British college basketball player who plays for the Kentucky Wildcats of the Southeastern Conference. He previously played for the Drexel Dragons. The 23-year-old center was also not invited to the combine but was invited to the G League camp.
RJ Davis
Davis finished his UNC tenure averaging 15.6 points on 41.8% shooting, 3.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game after spending five years at Chapel Hill. He is widely projected to go undrafted in the 2025 NBA Draft, with concerns about his “size and decision-making” arising.

Chase Hunter
The Clemson guard is already 24 years old, meaning he stayed too long in college. Nowadays, NBA teams tend to favour younger players, and there are many younger guys who can do what Hunter does at the same or even higher level.
