5 Best NBA Draft Landing Spots for Greek Wing Neoklis Acdalas

As reported by ESPN NBA Draft analyst Jonathan Givony, Neoklis Avdalas will test the waters of the NBA Draft but will maintain his college eligibility, giving him a chance at playing college hoops next season.

Avdalas has become an all-around player with a great basketball IQ. His positional versatility is phenomenal as he plays with Peristeri BC in Greece’s top division and the Basketball Champions League.

He plays what is described as a game of “point forward,” which defines his impact on both ends of the floor, whether he’s facilitating, scoring, or switching defensively.

The specialty of strength and skill has given birth to a new prospect in Avdalas. He effectively uses pick-and-roll, reads defenses, and is getting more comfortable shooting from a distance.

On defense, he is laterally quick to defend guards and long to contest wings. These add to his on-court experience and value, considering his young age at that level.

Scouts would have tuned into his games, particularly when he showcased vision and composure on the court. Yet, as things stand, he is not a lock for a top-20 position. His draft stock can, however, rise with a flying exercise and combine.

    Boston Celtics

They’ve already acquired the buzz of scouting him, and most likely going to think of him as a developmental wing for years to come. Boston does have a history with tall Europeans.

    Atlanta Hawks

Another of the clubs that showed early interest. Avdalas could be a valuable two-way trade and depth in a young rotation.

    San Antonio Spurs

World-renowned for developing international players, he could factor into their system alongside Victor Wembanyama. San Antonio has long been fond of international talent.

    Toronto Raptors

And ball handling wings of size is exactly what the Raptors need in their already strong international scouting department.

    Utah Jazz

Jazz is in the process of collecting long and versatile players. Avdalas fits perfectly into Jazz’s evolving identity.

Next, Avdalas will check how much interest there is in him in the pre-draft process.

If it comes out that he is ranked outside the top 40, he may choose to take the NCAA route this next season. Either way, remember his name-he’s NBA-bound, whether in 2025 or beyond.
