“Missed That Medical Tent All Off-Season”: Fans Have Wild Reaction to Jaylen Waddle’s Early Exit With Injury

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle has often struggled with lingering injuries at times during his career. However, this season, he was expected to start the year healthy. In Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts, he made it through a decent chunk of the game without an injury. However, he eventually headed to the locker room after suffering an apparent injury.

Waddle returned to the game, but the early-season injury still frustrated fans. The Dolphins were losing 30-0 early in the fourth quarter and are likely to have one of the worst performances of Week 1 of the NFL season.

Fans reacted to the apparent Jaylen Waddle injury on X.

“Jaylen Waddle missed that medical tent all off-season. Could not wait to be home,” one fan wrote.

“Idk why I drafted a dude that I watched get injured in every single game he plays in,” another commented.

“Waddle caught a pass. Hurt on the tackle. Season is officially underway,” one fan added.

Fans continued to react on X.

“It’s Week 1 & people tend to over-react but there have been zero positives for the Fins today. Team psyche will be tested. Antiques Road Show would have been a better option to watch today,” one fan wrote.

“Tua Tagovailoa is bad at football. Jaylen Waddle is hurt. Tyreek Hill is complaining on the bench. Mike McDaniels only cares about his sunglasses. I’m not having fun,” another noted.

“This is why you stay away from micro-sized WRs,” one fan added.

Jaylen Waddle Was Struggling Before His Apparent Injury

While Jaylen Waddle suffering an injury will likely hurt the Miami Dolphins’ offense this season, it does not appear to have made much of a difference against the Indianapolis Colts. With six minutes left in the fourth quarter, Waddle had only made four receptions for 30 yards. He had been largely ineffective, as had most of the Dolphins roster.

The Dolphins struggled on both offense and defense against the Colts. Regardless of the health status of their players, they will need to make significant changes for Week 2 if they want to bounce back.
