Maxwell Hairston is one of the best cornerbacks in the 2025 NFL Draft. He’s one of the best athletes in this class, running a 4.29 at the NFL Combine.
Plenty of teams need a cornerback in this year’s draft, and many organizations will covet Hairston. Here are the five best landing spots for the young cornerback.

Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills need a playmaker at cornerback, and I think Hairston would be a great fit. Hairston’s speed would bring an element of explosiveness to the Bills’ defense that has been missing. The fit of Hairston in Buffalo would be a good pairing for both sides.
Minnesota Vikings
Brian Flores’ defensive scheme relies on athletic cornerbacks to play man-to-man, while the Vikings bring pressure from their front seven. That kind of player is exactly what Hairston would bring to Minnesota, and he’d likely be available at 24.
Washington Commanders
The Commanders are a team that should be addressing defense in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. While I think they’d prefer an EDGE rusher, if some of the top guys are off the board, they might consider upgrading at corner with Hairston.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles have Quinyon Mitchell on one boundary and Cooper DeJean in the slot. However, they could use another athletic man-to-man corner on the boundary to round out their secondary. I like Hairston’s fit in Philly and think he’d be a great Eagle.

Green Bay Packers
The Packers have expressed interest in moving on from Jaire Alexander, but regardless of what other moves they make on draft night, Hairston would be a significant addition in Green Bay. Hairston would fit perfectly in defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley’s scheme, and Hairston would excel with the Packers.
