Who will be the first overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft is still up in the air, but Hall-of-Famer Marshall Faulk believes Shedeur Sanders could have a shot at getting picked early.

Marshall Faulk Drops His Opinion on Shedeur Sanders
The 23-year-old Colorado quarterback was phenomenal for the program the last two years, helping his dad, Deion, transform the university into a Big 12 powerhouse. In the 2024 season, he racked up 4,134 passing yards and recorded 37 touchdowns while throwing only 10 interceptions.
Speaking to Suzy Shuster on the Rich Eisen show this week, Faulk gave his opinion on the No. 1 overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Faulk, who has taken up the RB coaching job at Colorado, vocalized his affinity for Shedeur since he has been around Deion for quite a long time and knows Shedeur very well.
“I’ve watched what he went through,” Faulk said. “I watched him mature into the player that he is. I’ve been around a lot of quarterbacks, a couple of Hall of Famers, and a guy in Jim Harbaugh as well, who was my quarterback when I was a rookie. I know the demeanor of guys—not just who can play at this level, but who can be successful and get other guys to be great around him.
“And the kid has all the intangibles, all the intangibles. And I’m gonna say this because I think it’s harder to have those intangibles when your father is a person, let’s say, of the caliber of Deion Sanders. It’s hard to step out of those shadows and be an individual. And he’s done that.”
