“Odell With Diva Attitude”: Malik Nabers’ Frustrated Look On Giants Sideline After Washington Beatdown Sets Fans Abuzz

New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers was not too happy with the result of his team’s 2025 season opener for a specific reason. On Sunday, Sept. 7, @_MLFootball on X/Twitter posted a clip of Nabers on the sidelines as coach Brian Daboll’s Giants started off week 1 of this year’s NFL campaign disappointingly. This is because they lost to the Washington Commanders by 15 points, 21-6, at the Northwest Stadium.

Nabers was then captured, releasing a sigh as his face reeked of disappointment, as veteran quarterback Russell Wilson’s debut with the Giants did not go too well. After he signed with the franchise back in March, Wilson was named the starting quarterback over the likes of Jameis Winston and Jaxson Dart. But in his first game with the Giants, Wilson just registered a rating of 59.3 and threw just a total of 168 yards.

Football fans and spectators from everywhere were split with how Nabers reacted towards Wilson’s play, as seen on their reactions from social media.

“Odell 2.0 with the diva attitude,” one user claimed mentioning Super Bowl LVI champion Odell Beckham Jr.

“Checked his phone and seen the Daniel Jones stats now he upset 😭,” another user said with a crying emoji.

“Complaining already and the season is less than a game old??? Yeah, he’s a superstar alright,” another shared.

“Nabers must know how DK, Sutton and Pickens feel when Wilson is on your team,” a user wrote mentioning Nabers’ counterpart wide receivers in DK Metcalf, Courtland Sutton and George Pickens.

Other users all over X/Twitter offered their takes on how the Giants could re-tool moving forward and bounce back from the disappointing season opener.

“Bring in Dart ASAP, Wilson been so bad for so long,” one user posted, mentioning Jackson Dart.

“He needs JD5. It would be pure magic,” another user pointed out talking about quarterback Jayson Daniels.

“This team problem isn’t QB. Believe me. That’s all an O line problem,” a user explained.

Nabers, Wilson and the rest of coach Daboll’s Giants will have the opportunity to win their first game of the 2025 NFL season in week two. They are set to take on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Sept. 14, in the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, the home of the Cowboys.

Along with his faces of disappointment setting football fans and spectators abuzz on social media, Malik Nabers’ next reaction was equally as popular. This is because in a photo uploaded by @BobbySkinner_ on X/Twitter, Nabers is seen putting a towel over his head while it tilts down in disappointment. The football community then reacted to this similarly to his previous reactions from the sidelines.
