“Lucas Carneiro Welcome To Baltimore”: Fans Predict Ole Miss Kicker’s NFL Future After Stellar Performance vs Miami

Ole Miss Rebels kicker Lucas Carneiro will already have an NFL team to go to if it were upto the fans. In the second quarter of the Fiesta Bowl game against the Miami Hurricanes, Carneiro helped Ole Miss with a successful 58-yard field goal attempt, bringing the game close to 17-13 just before halftime.

Carneiro’s successful kick brought the painful recent memory for Baltimore fans. The Baltimore Ravens were knocked out of the playoffs after their 26-24 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. In the game, they had the opportunity to take the lead in the late fourth quarter, but their kicker, Tyler Loop, couldn’t manage to make a successful 44-yard field goal attempt.

As such, Baltimore fans welcomed Carneiro’s kick in style:

“Lucas Carneiro,,, Welcome to the Baltimore Ravens.”

“Lucas Carniero is such an amazing kicker. Worth a draft pick in the 5th for sure,” one fan added.

“Another dropped potential pick. But Lucas Carniero doinks a field goal. Still 17-13 Miami,” one fan wrote.

“Lucas Carniero draft stock. Good Lord what a weapon he is! #SpecialTeams win games!! @OleMissFB #fiestabowl,” one fan commented.

“I think I’ve cried 5 times today watching the video of Lucas carniero kicking the gw fg” one fan wrote.

“BEARS NEED TO DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO GET LUCAS CARNIERO, THAT KID IS AN ABSOLUTE WEAPON, THAT WOULDVE BEEN GOOD FROM AT LEAST 65 he’s returning for 2026 but i don’t think it’s a lock especially if he just keeps hitting bombs, he’ll get drafted,” one fan noted.

“Love seeing Lucas Carniero get the recognition he deserves. He was a stud here at WKU and is a star now for Ole Miss,” one fan added.
