“Ain’t Made for This Conference”: Fans Frustration Peaks as LSU’s Offense Struggles Under Brian Kelly

Brian Kelly’s LSU Tigers are being tested in the ongoing season opener against the Clemson Tigers. LSU enters the halftime break 10-3 as the offense struggled in the first half. LSU suffered a costly fumble after a catch, leading to an early Clemson field goal.

With 15 seconds left in the first half, coach Kelly opted to go for it on 4th-and-2 from the Clemson 12. However, his gamble didn’t pay off, as the pass for the endzone was stopped short. One would say that taking the field goal opportunity was the best course of action. Meanwhile, Clemson led a successful touchdown drive to take a 10-3 lead at halftime.

Seeing LSU struggle in the season opener, fans have started to let their frustrations be known with Kelly’s coaching.

“Brian Kelly ain’t made for this conference bruh. No fire #LSUvsCLEM #lsuvsclemson,” one fan said.

Fans are calling for the dismissal of Kelly already.

“When we hired Brian Kelly at LSU and he was hyped he could finally get the recruits he needed to win the big one we should have known he would never be able to win anything. If he couldn’t win at Notre Dame he can’t win anywhere. FIRE TONIGHT,” another fan added.

“Fire Brian Kelly and Joe Sloan,” another fan posted.

The reactions continued on the same lines as fans seems to be disappointed with LSU’s first half performance.

“Fire Brian Kelly at the f**king half! What were you gonna do if you converted on that HORRENDOUS play call. No timeouts no clock no fucking brains on that sideline,” one fan wrote.

“I love watching Brian Kelly absolutely waste some of the best talent in college football. Please for the love of god fire this Yankee,” another fan added.

“Brian Kelly b**ch a** looks like he’s about to cry fire this bum man tired of the same shit every year!!!!” one fan posted.

Brian Kelly Needs to Deliver in the 2025 Season

After a decade-long stint with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, Brian Kelly joined LSU in 2022. However, he has yet to take the program into the College Football Playoff. In his first two seasons, Kelly registered 10 wins, but in his third season, he achieved a 9-4 record. While he has won every bowl game, the playoff remains afar.

The front office has done everything to provide Kelly with the necessary pieces to amass a lineup that can win it all. They boosted their roster spending to around $18 million. Moreover, they brought in 18 high-impact transfer players.

It remains to be seen whether Kelly fails to deliver again or comes out swinging this season.
