In this new age of college football, where the transfer portal is a great weapon for bigger schools, the LSU Tigers were recently given the No. 1 ranking among transfer portal classes in the country.

Brian Kelly Continues To Attract Talent From Across the Sport
Aside from Chadwick, each of these players transferred from another power-five school. What is also fascinating is that six of these players decided to transfer to LSU from another SEC school, which means that players from other rival schools within the conference see that the Tigers could be building something.
While these players make up a crop of three and four-star players, that still should excite the LSU faithful. While head coach Brian Kelly has won 10+ games in two of his first three years as the head coach in Baton Rouge, the team has failed to get into the College Football Playoff.
Last season was disappointing as the Tigers went just 9-4 and finished ninth in the conference, which is not exactly what the LSU boosters and fans had in mind when Kelly was hired.

Regardless, he has still demonstrated his ability to be a great recruiter. Ed Orgeron, in the previous coaching regime, set the standard at LSU when he guided the Tigers to a national title.
Kelly has not been able to crack the code yet, but he’ll have plenty of experienced players in the building this season to help him, thanks to the transfer portal.
