On Tuesday Deion Sanders got a special visit on his Texas mansion from rappers Lil Wayne and Lil Twist. The visit was probably intended to show support for Sanders during his convalescence. It’s unknown what specific health issue is affecting Coach Prime, but he has been out of Boulder since April and he’s recovering at his Texas mansion in Canton.
The visit by Lil Wayne and Lil Twist was one of the highlights of his past week, with the football coach having been seen walking around his mansion with both rappers. Lil Twist especially seemed amazed at the size of Deion Sanders’s estate, with him stating at one point of the visit:
“It’s all on the property, man. All country prime. Damn motivation, unc” Said Lil Twist as Deion Sanders Jr. drove him around the property (3:30)
On the same day, it seems like Deion Sanders had enough time to go out and visit his favorite Canton restaurant. The moment was recorded for posterity in a post on his Instagram account, which also had the following caption:
“Ain’t no way I can miss one of my favorite restaurants @downhomecanton ! The food is great the service is better and if u want Country Cooking this is it. The Desserts are so darn good. Can’t wait to Take @deionsandersjr to 1st Monday.” Wrote Prime on the caption

There’s some uncertainty as to whether or not Deion Sanders will appear at the Big 12 media days next week, but if he does it will be his first public appearance for the Buffaloes since April.
Quincy Avery questions Deion Sanders’ coaching credentials
There have always been people who have argued that Deion Sanders has only gone into coaching to advance the careers of his sons, especially Shedeur Sanders. Now that he has no member of his family playing under him, some wonder if he will have the same level of interest in ensuring the future of the program.
Deshaun Watson’s personal coach, Quincy Avery, seems to be part of this camp. On “The Maggie and Perloff Show” this week, Avery said:
“Was he doing this the whole time to prop his sun up?” Said while further adding he’s interested in seeing how he will do this year without a son of his as the quarterback of Colorado
There might be a bit of resentment on Avery’s part, considering that his client, Deshaun Watson, now shares a locker room with Shedeur Sanders. After bringing in Joe Flacco from free agency, and Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur from the draft, it doesn’t seem like Watson features in the long-term plans of the Cleveland Browns.
