As Ole Miss prepares for the upcoming 2025 season, several players have been talking to the media to talk about the upcoming season. This includes NFL wide receiver Cayden Lee, who talked to Paul Finebaum over at ESPN about what his team is up to at the moment, including not being featured in the Netflix SEC football documentary.
During the interview, Finebaum asked Cayden Lee several questions regarding his coach, Lane Kiffin, and there, Lee revealed one surprising thing about Kiffin, the Ole Miss coach actually likes Taylor Swift and plays her songs during team practices.
“You know, you know, he’s a player’s coach. Uh if you want to come to to one of our practices and be listening to Taylor Swift while you’re going through drills and watch coaches just falling down in bags and doing trying to do receiver drills, it it’s just awesome,” Lee said regarding Kiffin.
“He creates such a such a family atmosphere just with uh he has Juice running around stealing cones and as as a coach he’s a really good players coach and I just feel like it creates a good family atmosphere. He is stuck on Taylor Swift. I know he switches artist from from week to week but is that is that his go-to today? I think it was today her or Katie Perry,” he added.
This means that the big tough coach does not just like Taylor Swift, but his player just outed him as a Katy Perry fan as well. Lee did not reveal any more artists that the coach listens to, but just those two names alone reveal much about his tastes in music.

Cayden Lee Impressed With How Lane Kiffin Turned Things Around for Ole Miss
When Kiffin took the job, Ole Miss was still reeling from the various scandals that former head coach Hugh Freeze had during his time with the Rebels. The team suffered from several sanctions and restrictions placed upon it by the NCAA, which resulted in the team losing fans and potentially good players.
Ole Miss was given scholarship reductions, recruiting restrictions, and probation, hampering the school. It failed to make a single bowl game in four seasons, making the Rebels one of the worst-performing teams in the SEC at that time. Kiffin turned things around, and Cayden Lee saw that and was impressed.
During the SEC Media Days. The wide receiver told reporters that he remembered a time when Ole Miss wasn’t packed, and it is different now than the time the team was facing sanctions.
