“They Never Were”: Florida Trolled As Insider Claims Lane Kiffin’s Final Decision Between Ole Miss and Florida

Florida and LSU were the top two programs that were actively pursuing Lane Kiffin to be their next head coach after they fired Billy Napier and Brian Kelly, respectively.

While some analysts like J.D. PicKell believed Florida is a better choice for Kiffin and said that he can really turn their wagon in a good way, a college football insider, Chris Low, revealed that he can confirm the Ole Miss head coach can either stay at his current program or go to LSU, taking Florida out of the running.

This news drew some reactions from the fans:

“As a gator fan, too many of my fellow gators acted confidently on lane coming when Noone knows except lane himself. It is what it is, the search continues.” one fan commented.

“If Ole Miss loses to this putrid Miss State team and ruins their chances of making the playoffs Kiffin will deserve all the rage of Ole Miss fans for this circus.” another fan added.

“They never were.” another fan pointed out.

“I bet they are praying Dan Mullen would come back for them.” another fan wrote.

“Did anybody really ever think differently? The moment LSU fired Kelly, UF and Kiffin died.” another fan highlighted.

“If Ole Miss wins today, the ABC sideline reporter doing the immediate post game chat will almost certainly ask him if he intends on coaching this team in the playoff and if he doesn’t say “yes”, I don’t know if there is any coming back from that.” another fan added.

The Gators are now eyeing Washington head coach Jedd Fisch, Georgia Tech head coach Brent Key, alongside Tulane head coach Jon Sumrall as their next leader.

Stephen A. Smith Defends Lane Kiffin Amid Backlash Over Exploring Other Opportunities

Lane Kiffin has been under fire in the last two to three weeks as he stays the top target for major SEC programs while his current team, Ole Miss, is on an electric 10-1 run, with just one blink away from the playoffs.

Many analysts criticize the fact that Kiffin has been flirting with all three programs, with Joel Klatt even questioning his credibility and character in the midst of it all.

Stephen A. Smith, however, has different opinions about the situation; he believes there’s nothing wrong with what Kiffin is doing.

He’s going to be in a position to deliver a national championship to Oxford, Mississippi, and everybody is accusing him of being at fault because of the distractions associated with his name? How is it his fault?” Asked Smith.

Kiffin is currently in his 6th season with the Rebels and is expected to announce his decision to stay or leave after the Egg Bowl showdown.
