Lane Kiffin will be heading to LSU next year, and he is expected to take a few coaches with him to Baton Rouge. However, the soon-to-be former Ole Miss coach may also be taking a few players with him. The coach took to X and posted a piece of wisdom from a book, though his caption raised a few eyebrows as it teased that Ole Miss quarterback Trinidad Chambliss might become an LSU Tiger soon.
Exhale. Have the best Monday ever. #GodsPlan 🇹🇹🐯 pic.twitter.com/GqZSstivMd

In his caption, he had the flag of Trinidad and Tobago next to a Tiger emoji, along with the hashtag #GODSPLAN on it. This suggests that Trinidad Chambliss might soon enter the transfer portal and follow him to Baton Rouge. Chambliss had been central to Kiffin’s offense over at Ole Miss, and with Garrett Nussmeier already a senior, he might need a new quarterback over at LSU.
Chambliss is also a senior, though, but he has filed a waiver to be able to keep on playing for the 2026 season. As of writing, there are still no further updates on this case yet, but if the NCAA allows him to keep playing for the 2026 season, there is a big possibility that he might transfer to LSU and follow Kiffin there.
“We’re still waiting to hear word on that,” he said. “Hopefully we get some communication back. Maybe next week.”
Should Trinidad Chambliss follow Lane Kiffin to LSU, he would be with some familiar faces, as a majority of Kiffin’s staff are expected to follow him to Baton Rouge, including some front office staff.

Lane Kiffin Already Trying To Flip A 4-Star Recruit To LSU, Days After Announcing He Is Leaving Ole Miss
Technically, Lane Kiffin is still with Ole Miss, though the school is not allowing him to coach the team for the upcoming College Football Playoffs. However, this has not stopped him from starting to recruit high school stars to LSU.
He is reportedly going after four-star wide receiver Brayden Allen, who was spotted in Baton Rouge and held a meeting with Kiffin and his staff there, according to WBRZ News. He verbally committed to the Oklahoma Sooners back in October, flipping from a commitment with Tulane. Now, however, Kiffin is seeking to flip him again.
