LSU head coach Lane Kiffin is reportedly planning to attend his former team Ole Miss’ quarterfinal bowl encounter against the Georgia Bulldogs.
On3 Sports has also reported that Kiffin is interested in being part of the ESPN broadcast crew, so much so that he has reached out to them, though ESPN hasn’t seemed too reciprocative of Kiffin’s request.
However, the sheer news of Kiffin’s presence for the Allstate Sugar Bowl game and a potential broadcast appearance has gotten a lot of fans riled up, calling out Kiffin on X.

Ole Miss QB Trinidad Chambliss Reveals No Communication With Lane Kiffin Ahead of Quarterfinal Clash
Lane Kiffin’s abrupt exit from Ole Miss to join LSU as their new head coach has severed his relationship not only with the Rebels’ fans and management but also with his former players.
Ole Miss’ star quarterback, Trinidad Chambliss, ahead of his side’s quarterfinal game against the Bulldogs, revealed that he hasn’t been in touch with Kiffin. He further revealed how the team is not allowed to be in contact with the former head coach.
“I don’t think that’s even allowed right now,” Chambliss stated during the press conference.
Kiffin’s departure from Oxford saw defensive coordinator Pete Golding being promoted as the program’s 40th head coach. The Rebels won their very first game without Kiffin on the sidelines as they defeated Tulane in the first round with a scoreline of 41-10.
