Despite his daughter going public about her relationship with a player from an upcoming opposing team, Ole Miss Rebels coach Lane Kiffin has asserted his allegiance. On Monday, Sept. 22, Lane Kiffin’s daughter, Landry, confirmed on her Instagram account through a carousel post that she is dating LSU Tigers linebacker Whit Weeks just days before the Rebels and Tigers face each other in the 2025 college football season.
This prompted coach Kiffin to repost a previous post he uploaded of him and his wife, Layla, with Landry Kiffin. In the photo posted on Lane Kiffin’s X/Twitter account back on May 17 of this year, it shows a throwback snap of the family for when Landry Kiffin was still a toddler and her parents brought her to the beach. With this, coach Kiffin reposted the post with a clear message to confirm who his daughter is still cheering for.

The reasoning for coach Kiffin’s post is that the Rebels are slated to face the Tigers for their respective Week 5 matchups of the recently started 2025 campaign. Both squads are heading into the highly anticipated fixture with identical, undefeated records, 4-0, as Ole Miss and LSU look to crack a loss tally in each other’s standings.
The matchup is scheduled to commence on Saturday, Sept. 27, and will be played at coach Kiffin’s Rebels’ home pitch, the Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford, Mississippi. The Rebels and the Tigers currently sit as the No. 1 and 2 seeds, respectively, early in the 2025 SEC standings, as this game could be a decider on who will spearhead the conference as the season goes on.
Coach Kiffin and the Rebels are heading into the matchup, overcoming the Tulane Green Wave by 35 points, 45-10, for their last victory, while Weeks and the rest of coach Brian Kelly’s Tigers are coming off of a 46-point drubbing of the Southeastern Louisiana Lions, 56-10. With much-needed momentum on both squads’ sides, it seems as though the Rebels will have one extra fan in Landry Kiffin despite her being in a relationship with Weeks.

Whit Weeks Reposted Landry Kiffin’s Photo Of Them On His Instagram Stories
To hit home on the public launch of their relationship, Whit Weeks has also decided to repost Landry Kiffin’s photo of them on her Instagram account into his own story.
As he shares that they are together to his own following, it seems as though it will be all professional when Weeks does face coach Lane Kiffin’s Rebels later this week as the former is looking to uncork a stellar junior campaign.
