Ole Miss Rebels coach Lane Kiffin has finally broken silence on the relationship between LSU’s Whit Weeks and his daughter Landry days after the Rebels defeated their SEC rivals to stay unbeaten on the season.
Weeks and Landry have been seeing each other. Kiffin recently appeared on the Nonstop podcast and shared his reaction on how it was all a movie upon revisiting the game on TV and how the broadcasters were discussing the relationship between the two.
“I don’t know if I would have handled it as well when I was younger,” Kiffin told Kirk Herbstreit. “That’s part of where I’m at. I just embrace things just like the portal, kids, social media. I saw the Whit stuff and the throw up and all of that I was like, ‘You know this is really like a movie or something. This was made for TV. The announcers were talking about Landry’s romance with Whit Weeks.
“They show his family in the stands, then he’s throwing up. The 50 plays in the first half to tire him out. He gets hurt. He comes back, and I feel like I’m watching a movie here,” he added.

Lane Kiffin’s Rebels won the game 24-19 against the LSU Tigers. In the game, Landry’s boyfriend Weeks made 10 total tackles including three solo. He also recovered one fumble.
It’s interesting to note that the couple’s relationship went public just before the Ole Miss vs LSU encounter. The Rebels’ head coach said that though his daughter loves the man on the opposite side, she’ll be rooting for Ole Miss on game day.

Lane Kiffin tried to meet Whit Weeks after the game
In the same segment, Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin also revealed he tried searching for Whit Weeks after the game. However, he couldn’t meet him.
“I did try and find him, but he was already up the tunnel,” Kiffin said. “You know what it’s like when you’re on the losing side, you don’t really want a, ‘Hey man, great job.’”
Kiffin was looking for Weeks to check his team covered the over after the LSU linebacker previously confidently said that the Tigers will win the game.
“We believe in our players, we go for it on fourth down a lot, glad to have made the plays. I’m looking for Whit right now to see if we covered the over,” Kiffin told ESPN.
