Ahead of tonight’s much-anticipated Sugar Bowl quarterfinal fixture between Ole Miss and the Georgia Bulldogs, the College GameDay panel, which consisted of the likes of Kirk Herbstreit, Nick Saban, Pat McAfee, and a few more analysts, chose the Georgia Bulldogs to win this encounter over the Rebels.
This prompted a reaction from former Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, as he did not approve of the panel’s prediction of the Bulldogs emerging victorious over Ole Miss.
Kiffin on X, while sharing a screen grab of the College GameDay panel, defended Ole Miss’ chances to win this encounter, writing:
“What are you guys thinking?!?!? @CollegeGameDay Have you not watched 🇹🇹???”, Kiffin wrote on X

Kiffin’s reaction to the College GameDay prediction got a lot of fans riled up on social media, with fans calling out the hypocrisy of the former Rebels coach on X.
“Says the guy who crapped on his old team”, wrote a fan.
“leave ur ex alone lane. let her heal”, stated a fan.
“Bro is basically harassing his ex”, said a fan.
“ole miss needs a restraining order on you”, remarked a fan.
“What do you care Lane? You walked out on your team. Grass isn’t greener!”, commented a fan.
“Sorry Lane but your simp application for @OleMissFB has been rejected”, stated another fan.
“Dude you can’t go back to the ex when you have shacked up with the mistress”, commented another fan.
“Probably has to do with fact their head coach left. Just a guess”, remarked another fan.
These hostile and unwelcoming fan reactions come on the backdrop of Kiffin leaving Ole Miss right before their playoff leg to join LSU as their new head coach.

Rebels QB Trinidad Chambliss Reveals Contact With Former Coach Isn’t Permitted
After abruptly leaving Ole Miss to join LSU, Lane Kiffin has severed his ties with the Oxford-based program’s management as well as fans. However, this fall in the relationship with the former head coach is not limited to management and fans, as quarterback Trinidad Chambliss recently revealed how he hasn’t been in touch with Lane Kiffin.
During a press conference ahead of Ole Miss’ Sugar Bowl encounter, Chambliss further emphasized the gravity of the situation, revealing how the team’s not allowed to stay in touch with the estranged head coach.
“I don’t think that’s even allowed right now,” Chambliss stated during the press conference.
Kiffin’s departure from Oxford saw defensive coordinator Pete Golding being named as the program’s 40th head coach.
