Lane Kiffin Opens Up About Daughter Landry Hard Launching BF Whit Weeks Ahead Of Ole Miss-LSU Showdown

Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin is preparing for the biggest test of the season for his squad. The No. 13-ranked Ole Miss Rebels will host the No. 4-ranked LSU Tigers on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET. The game could have serious implications on the SEC standings towards the end of the season, as both teams have hopes of qualifying for the College Football Playoff.

However, when Lane Kiffin spoke with the media on Wednesday, not all questions were about the game. That is because on Monday, his daughter, Landry Kiffin, announced her relationship with LSU linebacker Whit Weeks.

    “Happy :)” Landry Kiffin wrote.

Lane Kiffin was asked about his daughter’s new relationship on Wednesday.

“Whit’s an awesome kid and comes from a great family,” Lane Kiffin said. “Glad those two are happy together, and, you know, it really has nothing to do with the game itself.”

Whit Weeks has registered eight total tackles, including four solo efforts, and 0.5 sacks this season for LSU.

Lane Kiffin And The Ole Miss Rebels Are Looking To Solidify Their Position At The Top Of The SEC Standings

Lane Kiffin and his Ole Miss Rebels are off to a strong start to the season. They have won their first four games of the season, including two SEC wins over Kentucky and Arkansas in Weeks 2 and 3. The Rebels are one of two teams in the SEC to have played two conference games already, and as a result, are at the top of the SEC standings.

However, if the Rebels are going to retain their top spot, they are going to need to get wins over top-flight competition like the Tigers. This is the biggest test of the season for the Rebels so far and will give great insight into what kind of team they are this year.

After this game, the Rebels will have a bye week, so they want to head into that week on a high note. As things stand, Ole Miss only has two more ranked opponents later in the season, No. 5-ranked Georgia on Oct. 18 and No. 7-ranked Oklahoma on Oct. 25.
