IN PICS: Texas’ Lamborghini Lineup Returns To Welcome Recruits on Official Visits

Is Texas “back?” That’s a real question analysts will debate all summer. But are Texas’ Lamborghinis back? Yes, yes, they are. With recruits heading to Austin for official visits, the Longhorns are bringing back their exotic car showcase that dropped jaws last summer.

Texas Rolls Out Luxury Treatment Once Again as Recruits Arrive to Lamborghini Entrance

From June 6-8, the Longhorns will host at least 14 recruits on official visits, including five-star DL Lamar Brown. It’s safe to say they will do so in style once again.

OnTexasFootball’s CJ Vogel shared a picture of four Lamborghinis on campus with the caption “The Lambos are back for #Texas OVs this weekend.”

It’s not the first time Lamborghinis have lit up a Texas recruiting weekend. Last summer, four-star DL Josiah Sharma went viral after posting a video of his Moncrief Center arrival surrounded by the exotic cars.

The visual reminder of Texas’ NIL power isn’t subtle and rubbed some the wrong way, but that’s the point.

From the Lamborghini fleet parked outside the football facility to the seven-figure NIL packages being orchestrated behind the scenes, the Longhorns are sending a message to the SEC after making the conference title game last year: we’re here to stay.

Lamborghini Austin has become one of the program’s most high-profile NIL partners in recent years, signing players like Bijan Robinson, Jordan Whittington, Michael Taaffe, and Isaiah Bond. Both Bond and Taaffe drove Lamborghinis throughout the 2024 season as part of promotional deals.

Taaffe has since returned his car to the dealership, but he joked about getting one more year behind the wheel after falling short of the national title in 2024.

“Well, the NIL was for (last) season,” Taaffe said, via the “3rd & Longhorn” show. “But we were under the impression that we were going to win the national championship, and I was going to go to the NFL after this season.”

Texas lost to eventual national champion Ohio State in the College Football Playoff semifinal, but heading into its second SEC season, the Longhorns have a target on their back as the No. 4 team in CSN’s Power Rankings.

With a top-tier NIL war chest, a Hollywood-worthy recruiting approach, and the rise of Arch Manning under center, Steve Sarkisian’s program is ready to prove Lambos aren’t the only thing “back” in 2025.
