Earlier in the week, Colorado Buffaloes wide receiver LaJohntay Wester was seen practicing in preparation for the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine and the NFL Draft. A video posted to X shows Wester running various routes and completing footwork drills, as well as catching numerous passes.

Wester released the video on his official TikTok profile. The popular Buffaloes X fan account “Dalvinthetruth” then reposted the clip and provided an analysis of Wester and his performance in the video.

Wester played four college football seasons with the Florida Atlantic Owls before transferring to the Buffaloes before the start of last season.
He was extremely productive on the campaign, even while playing in a wide receiver room that also featured top NFL prospect Travis Hunter. On the year, he amassed 74 receptions for 931 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
LaJohntay Wester 2025 NFL Draft Projection
Wester is expected to be a late-round pick in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. He is a good route runner and has strong hands, which allows him to make plays in almost any situation and at any depth on the field. In addition, Wester is extremely quick and agile, which allows him to create separation with ease against opposing defensive players.

Wester’s strong season has drastically improved his 2025 NFL Draft stock and made him someone to watch out for in the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine. Another strong showing on a national stage like the Scouting Combine could result in his draft stock further increasing as well.
As is evident from Wester’s recent social media post, he is putting in the work ahead of the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine to ensure that he is selected as high as possible in the 2025 NFL Draft later this April.
