Indiana quarterback Kurtis Rourke is one of the quieter names at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Rourke tore his ACL last season but did not realize it was torn until after the Hoosiers’ season was over.
Kurtis Rourke Works Out at Combine
The Canadian native had his ACL fully repaired after seemingly playing on it all fall.
He chatted with the media in Indianapolis today about what it was like playing on his knee last season.

It is remarkable that nearly two months after surgery, Rourke was able to throw passes in front of teams at the Combine. This is proof that he has the strength and toughness to play quarterback in the National Football League.
It will be interesting to see if any teams decide to take a chance on him in the later rounds of the NFL Draft.
What Is Impressive About Rourke?
A former conference MVP in the MAC, Rourke built himself a great college career at Ohio before heading to Bloomington in 2024.
There, he became an All-Big Ten player as he guided the Hoosiers to the College Football Playoff. He threw for over 3,000 yards and 29 touchdowns for the Hoosiers while completing over 69% of his passes. Simply put, in a conference with Dillon Gabriel, Will Howard, and Drew Allar, Rourke got lost in the shuffle of great Big Ten quarterbacks.
In the grand scheme of things, the 6’5″, 220-pound signal-caller has the chance to be a decent NFL quarterback. However, he could very well be drafted in the later rounds of April’s NFL Draft due to his ACL injury and the fact that there are plenty of other talented quarterbacks. There are also only 32 teams that usually have three or four quarterbacks on the active roster at maximum.

Rourke could take the route of Jordan Travis, the former Florida State and current New York Jets quarterback, who suffered a major injury at the end of his college career. He was drafted in the fifth round, which could be where Rourke lands this year.
