EA Sports made millions of college football fans incredibly happy when it finally brought its college football game back after a ten-year hiatus. While it was great to have the game back, though, it came with plenty of bugs. As EA headed into its second year of the reboot, fans had many requests.
The closed beta of EA Sports College Football 26 was released to creators a couple of weeks ago, including former NFL quarterback Kurt Benkert, who recently dropped a video gushing over the game.
Kurt Benkert Sings EA Sports College Football 26’s Praises in Review of the Game’s Closed Beta
Kurt Benkert retired from the NFL after a brief career to pursue a different path in content creation and football analysis.
For the EA Sports College Football series, Benkert has long talked about some improvements he wants to see EA make. After playing the EA Sports College Football 26 closed beta recently, it sounds like the gaming company has finally listened.
In a review of the beta on his YouTube channel, Benkert praised the game saying, “What I saw a couple of weekends ago, I’m not going to lie to you guys, I’ve never been more excited to play a sports game than I have been to play both College Football and Madden in this new cycle.”
Benkert went on to talk about how much time the developers seemed to have put into each individual school in the game, saying, “They made the authentic feel of each school so much better this year. The walkouts, the traditions, the uniforms, all of it. This game is like a cinematic masterpiece.”
Benkert’s rave reviews of the game are a good sign for college football fans, who have also requested many changes to the game since its reboot. It’s not often that a gaming company as large as EA will listen to its fans and implement changes.
From what Benkert said, it sounds like that’s the case with EA Sports College Football 26. Still, it’s worth noting that the beta is not the full version of the game, and he could potentially be in a partnership with the video game developer, leading to some “inflated” positive reviews.
