College GameDay always has some interesting clips come out each week, and this week Kirk Herbstreit’s Dog was on center stage. This week, College GameDay is in Norman, Oklahoma, for the clash between No. 15-ranked Michigan and No. 18-ranked Oklahoma on Saturday. On Saturday morning, during the show, Kirk Herbstreit’s dog came out onto the show.
His dog is a big golden retriever, and he stole on the show. In a few photos posted by the College GameDay X account, Kirk Herbstreit and his dog, Peter, shared a hug and some cuddles on the College GameDay desk.

This led to a big reaction from fans, with some complaining that the dog did not belong on the show.
“Doesn’t belong on the show. Gets in the way, especially when Coach Ryan was trying to make a presentation to Coach Lee and crapping during the field goal segment. Love pets but when did taking them everywhere you go and override leash laws become the rule?” one fan wrote.
“Peter would rather be in Como for the actual game of the weekend,” one fan commented.
“I love dogs as much as anyone on earth but this is getting really tiring. Sorry just is,” one fan added.
While some fans did not like Kirk Herbstreit’s dog on the show, there were others that showed their excitement in the comments.
“He’s not a perfect replacement for Corso, but pretty close,” one fan wrote.
“This is the Travis and Taylor of College Football,” one fan commented.
“I love dogs and i am tired of this dog. Maybe let another host bring their dog?” one fan added.
