One of the top wide receivers in this year’s transfer portal has now been taken, as former Vanderbilt star Tre Richardson has announced that he is committing to the Louisville Cardinals. While this is certainly a big win for Louisville, this is yet another loss for Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs, which are seemingly struggling to attract players for this year’s transfer portal, despite all the success they had as the No. 3 team in the country.
Soon enough, Kirby Smart missing on another high-value transfer portal target had fans talking, with many poking fun at Richardson passing up Georgia, like many other players.
“Another Kirby whiff 🔥” one fan stated.
“Louisville stuffed Georgia and Texas into a locker again,” joked another fan with this image:
“WHAT??? You mean he didn’t want to go UGA to block??? How could he,” another person said sarcastically.
“Bro we just saying we could see bro in the uni but definitely should go with UGA,” another fan said.
Meanwhile, other fans were also making fun of the Texas Longhorns for also missing on the former Vanderbilt wide receiver.
“Texas spent all their money to win the Cheez it bowl 😭😭,” said one fan.
“Didn’t even want to go look at Texas sorry *ss 😂” added another X user.

Kirby Smart And Georgia Only Have 4 Incoming Transfers So Far
As for Georgia’s transfer portal luck, Kirby Smart has been targeting some very high-value targets but has so far come up empty. However, it has not been all failures for the Bulldogs, as Smart managed to get the commitments of four players so far.
Former Georgia Tech wide receiver Isiah Canion and former Auburn EDGE Amaris Williams are the two highest-rated transferees Georgia has gotten the commitment of so far, being four stars. This means that Georgia has not gotten any five-star transferees this cycle yet.
Rounding out Kirby Smart’s transfer portal hauls so far is former Clemson safety Khalil Barnes and former USC CB Braylon Conley, both of whom are rated as three-star transfers.
